The Do LaB is a Los Angeles based company specializing in interactive environments, event production and creative lighting design all in service of its highest mission: creating experience as art form. Taking an organic approach to everything they design and create, the Do LaB team strives to bring their visions to life with natural materials, found objects and sustainable resources. Whether producing an event or music festival or building an installation for touring around the world, the Do LaB is committed to the highest levels of art, production, and aesthetic to always challenge people’s preconceived notions of reality and what is possible.

Starting as an intern then transitioning onto staff for the Lightning in a Bottle Art and Music Festival and Woogie Weekend Music Festival 2015 and 2016 seasons, I had the privilege of working directly with the owners, operators, crew, and artists on the festival layout and cartography graphics. I also assisted in pre-event site scouts, topographic surveys, terrain elevation diagrams for stage placement, post-event GPS site surveys and data evaluation, camp square footage reports, logistical and transit diagrams and much more. I also assisted in the layout design of a stage structure presentation.

1028 Designs

Freelance 2014
Intern - Fall 2013 to Spring 2014
Los Angeles, CA
1028 Designs is a unique design firm specializing in custom design solutions and a myriad of fabrication techniques. 1028 Designs has grown exponentially since its beginning as a small custom art studio and is now being sought after by clients from around the world. Their portfolio includes some of the largest projection mapped stages ever built, interactive design, kinetic sculptures, immersive branding, displays, furniture, and restaurant design, just to name a few.

As the shop's first intern, I assisted in projection mapped animation concept brainstorming, 3D modeling and renderings, graphic design, photo retouching, marketing outreach and research, software training including Solid Works and Lasercut 5.3, file conversion, accounting assistance and a variety of office tasks.
I assisted with modeling the custom projection-mapped booth (pictured above) for DJ Remady while in its development phase and contributed to the concepts for animations.
